Pureglow Blush Review

I'm a blush and lipstick female. I don't like putting on foundations. Concealer is ok, I use it to cover up some enlarged pores on my cheeks and temples, and a bit on my nose for oil control. As for eyeshadows, forget it. I just couldn't learn how to properly apply it and usually end up making me look fierce ang older.

My blushes before are the lip & cheek-tint types (Body Shop's and Herbench's Pretty When Pinched). They're no brainier to apply, no need for brushes and blending techniques (just clean fingers), economical to bring anywhere since I can use them too as lipgloss. The only problem was they tend to leave a temporary stain on my fingers after applying.

When the trend on mineral makeup began, I didn't jump in the bandwagon at first since I'm not really a makeup-ish person. Then I became a reseller of Venus & Mars Botanicals last year, and among VNM's wonderful products are the 5pc. Antibacterial Makeup Brushes (unbelievably sold for P1,099 only inspite of its very good quality!). I got one for myself of course. How can I sell it convincingly if I don't even use it and convinced to purchase one for myself? So I used it first with an Elf Glow blush.

When VNM came out with its own mineral makeup line, Pureglow, I knew I just had to try their blushes.

I opted to try two first:
Hot Pinch

Romantic Flush

What I like about it:
- Both gave me a healthy flush looks
- Easy to blend using a brush.
- mild dewy effect
- A little goes a long way. I just open the jar's lid and swish my brush on the inner of the lid where a few particles of the mmu clings and that's it. The 10g jar I bought will probably last me months and months.
- No breakouts after using it for more than a month now
- Can last for 3-4 hours without retouching (for me, and I was in airconditioned rooms most of the day)
- Affordable: 5g = P125, 10g = P185
- its mineral makeup

What I don't like:
-As with the packaging of mineral makeups, you have to be careful when opening the jar, since contents could spill readily. This makes it not convenient to carry in the beauty kit inside your bag.
-Of course you have to use a blush brush, which makes it an added thing to bring in your bag

Of the two, I prefer to use Hot Pinch as a daily blush. I use it with Ecorre BB Cream  or with Elf concealer.

Namaste!
